Housing Guide

As you prepare for the start of the Masters in Management program, we know that a major decision you will need to make is where you will live for the coming year. To help you in that process, Wake Forest School of Business is pleased to offer the Wake Forest Graduate Business Housing Guide. This concise and informative guide will outline popular neighborhoods near the Wake Forest campus, and provide you with general descriptions, features, pros and cons, and places of interest. The guide, which is based on student input, also lists many of the popular apartment complexes for Wake business students and includes student ratings, price ranges and amenities. For more recently renovated properties close to the Wake campus, check out Victory Villages. In addition to the housing guide, please review the information below when considering all your housing options.

Note for International students: Before paying a security deposit or officially signing a lease with any rental property, please inquire about any required supporting documents that you will need such as a U.S.-based bank statement, a Social Security Number, proof of credit history in the U.S., etc. These may not be available to you, especially if you are new to the U.S. Apartment management companies may neglect to ask future tenants to submit these documents until close to your move in date. We highly encourage you to help make your transition to Winston-Salem a successful one by being proactive and asking these critical questions when interacting with leasing offices.

Wake Forest University Owned Off-Campus Properties

Our all-inclusive, by-the-room rentals are the perfect option. Each property consists of multiple bedrooms, a kitchen, common areas, and shared bathrooms. These houses are located within a 5-7 minute walk to campus and provide the opportunity to live among peers but also maintain privacy with single bedrooms. For more information, please visit Wake Forest Properties.

Availability is limited. The best time to secure a spot is between February and April.

Local Apartments and Housing

Many popular local apartments and rental houses are maintained in a common database for interested Wake Forest graduate students. To view current listings and neighborhood resources, refer to the Residence Life and Housing Property Rental Listing. Please note as graduate students, you do not need University approval prior to securing off-campus housing.

Roommates

Interested in sharing housing expenses? Each year incoming graduate business students find roommates either within their program, or across other programs. To find a roommate, we recommend joining your class LinkedIn group. Attending any scheduled spring on-campus events is another great opportunity to interact with future classmates and find a potential roommate. You can also view our Google Doc that will allow to express interest in a roommate and/or housing preferences.
