Inclusion Weekend Offers Prospective Students Insight into Degree Programs in Business

The Wake Forest University School of Business hosted Inclusion Weekend Nov. 4 – 5 on the Reynolda campus. The event introduced college juniors and seniors from underrepresented groups to careers in business and explored how a master’s degree in either management or business analytics can prepare them for success in a wide-range of professions.

Participants learned more about the School’s curriculum and admissions processes, while networking with faculty and current students and learned more about future career opportunities.

“We are committed to increasing diversity and inclusion in all that we do,” said Norma Ramirez Montague, Senior Associate Dean of Academic Programs. “Inclusion Weekend is just one way that we are working to increase access and opportunity for talented students from all backgrounds.”

The two-day event featured keynote speakers, an alumni and student panel, and opportunities to engage in the student experience through team-building activities. Travel and lodging expenses for the event were covered for all eligible attendees. Inclusion Weekend participants who later apply and are admitted to any Wake Forest School of Business Master of Science program are guaranteed a minimum $15,000 scholarship.

The Wake Forest Master of Science in Management degree is designed specifically for non-business majors and business minors who want to excel in today’s marketplace. The curriculum provides students with instruction that emphasizes managerial skills and exposure to real-word challenges and solutions.The Wake Forest Master of Science in Business Analytics program develops analysts that take data from insight to impact. Through the program, students learn critical programming skills such as R, Tableau, SQL, and more.
